Research Fellow
Organization Profile: Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India’s knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Job Title: Research Fellow
Project Title: “Engineering Diazotisation Pathways: Synthesis and Kinetics Using Nitrous Oxide and Related Gases”
Sponsor: Prof. J. B. Joshi Research Foundation.
Project Period: One year and Extendable up to 3 years
Principle Investigator: Prof. Ganapati S. Shankarling
No. of Positions: One
Qualifications: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with 55% marks. Preference will be given to the candidates who have cleared Ph.D. (Chemistry) entrance test of ICT Mumbai.
Experience: Experience in a related field will be preferred.
Remuneration/Fellowship: As per DST Norms
Selection procedure: The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The interview date will be communicated to the short-listed candidates. Selection will be based on the interview conducted by the committee. The recommendation of the committee will be final. Candidate may be allowed to pursue Ph.D. (Chemistry) degree provided he/she meets the criteria set by the Institute for the same.
