Job Description
- Thermoplastic Polymer Synthesis
- Recycling and upcycling of plastic waste
- Organometallic catalysts design and synthesis, as well as mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic depolymerization
- Mentor PhD students
- Draft grant proposals
- Oversee lab safety
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in chemistry, materials science and engineering, or chemical engineering.
- Ample research experience in polymer synthesis (particularly ATRP, RAFT and ROMP), organometallic catalysts synthesis, and mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic recycling and upcycling
- Solid background/experience in polymer chemistry and organometallic compound designs.
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong publication record
- Prior undergraduate and master students mentoring experience
