Job Description
We are hiring a Research Fellow to develop advanced 2D and 3D numerical models for simulating the settlement of coastal infrastructure. The results from these analyses will be used to build a settlement database to support metamodel development with the ultimate aim of developing efficient forward analysis models for soil-water-structure interaction.
The selected individual is required to:
- Develop an equivalent subsoil model for settlement simulation.
- Build a database to support metamodel Development.
- Develop an efficient forward analysis model for soil-water-structure interaction.
Job Requirements
- Possess a PhD degree.
- Demonstrate a research or professional background aligned with the development of the topic. Experience in advanced 3D numerical modelling incorporating random field analysis is highly desirable.
- Exhibit proficiency in coupled multi-physics modelling and passion in coding (python/C++).
- Display strong teamwork capabilities.
- Possess effective written and communication skills.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
