Job Description
To lead the engineering, commissioning, and operation of the pilot plant, including equipment installation, process integration, leak testing, interlock validation, staged start-up, and continuous performance evaluation. They will also conduct process safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA), ensure compliance with EHS and engineering standards, and perform techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) to support process optimization, technology scale-up, and commercialization.
Job Requirements
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in pilot plant engineering, process commissioning, or industrial process operations.
- Knowledge of process safety methodologies, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and EHS management.
- Experience in techno-economic analysis (TEA) and/or life cycle assessment (LCA) for chemical or energy processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS) and engineering standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, ASME) is an advantage.
- Experience with hydrogen, natural gas, high-temperature processes, or pilot-scale facilities is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, project coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and industrial partners.
