The Chemical Engineering Program (group of Xi Gao), is looking for 1 research fellow to conduct research projects in the catalytic hydrogenation of biomass or biomass-derived platform molecules into high-value fine chemicals. Contract duration: 2-3 years

化学工程系高希教授团队招收1名博士后，开展生物质或生物质基平台化合加氢催化制备高价值精细化学品的研究项目。期限： 2-3年。

Project Details

The main objective of the project is to (1) Catalytic hydrogenation of biomass or biomass-derived platform molecules into high-value chemicals, with application in polymer, cosmic, pharmaceutical, and food, (2) Novel catalysts preparation and Characterization (3) DFT investigation of catalytic mechanism.

Selection Criteria

• PhD or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Engineering, or in a relevant engineering and Science discipline (no more than 5 years after completed the doctoral degree) 化学工程、化学、材料工程或相关工程和科学学科的博士或者硕士学位 (完成博士学位后不超过5年)
• Strong background in catalysis (preferable) 具有较好的催化研究背景（优先）
• Good communication skills, good command of English (essential) 良好的沟通能力，良好的英语水平（必备）
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment (essential) 能够独立工作以及在团队环境中工作（必需）
• Ability to author/co-author high-quality scientific publications (essential) 撰写/共同撰写高质量科学出版物的能力（必需）
