Research Fellow (Radiation Shielding)

Job Description

This project aims to investigate the shielding effect of different reinforced concrete structures when exposed to gamma radiation.

The candidate is expected to

Design and fabricate representative reinforced concrete structures
Design test set up for detecting residual gamma radiation when exposed to a given radiation source
Perform airborne gamma radiation field simulations and parametric studies

Possess a PhD degree in relevant field, with demonstrated experience in the following:
Experience with casting of concrete specimens.
Experience with mechanism transport simulations.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
Open to fixed-term contract.
