Research Fellow (Radiation Shielding)
Job Description
This project aims to investigate the shielding effect of different reinforced concrete structures when exposed to gamma radiation.
The candidate is expected to
- Design and fabricate representative reinforced concrete structures
- Design test set up for detecting residual gamma radiation when exposed to a given radiation source
- Perform airborne gamma radiation field simulations and parametric studies
Job Requirements
- Possess a PhD degree in relevant field, with demonstrated experience in the following:
- Experience with casting of concrete specimens.
- Experience with mechanism transport simulations.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
