National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is hiring for the posts of Project Associate and Project Assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Organization Profile: National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Bihar to generate technical graduates.

Research Position: Project Associate (1 vacancy) and Project Assistant (1 vacancy).

Title of the Project: Smart and Effective IoT and GNSS Technology based Tea farming and Tourism for Tea Community Development.

Sponsoring Agency: Higher Education Financing Agency.

Essential Qualification: M.Tech/M.E/M.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)/MCA with minimum 60% marks at both B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech./MCA, or B.Tech./B.E. in ECE or CSE with minimum 80% marks.

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge in IoT, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), RTKLib software, computer programming, web page, and Android app development.

Project Duration: Three years, with initial appointment for 1 year, extendable based on performance.

Fellowship: Project Associate: Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA @ 18%; Project Assistant: Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA @ 18%.

Job Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
