About the Position

The Centre for Precision Psychiatry at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, UiO, invites applications for a 20% Research Fellow position. The Centre leads multidisciplinary studies involving hospital departments in Oslo and multiple research groups at UiO.

The main goal is to advance precision medicine in psychiatry through sophisticated statistical analyses of large-scale human genetic and neuroimaging data. The focus is on understanding how biological, psychological, and environmental factors contribute to severe mental and neuropsychiatric disorders, their treatment, and outcomes.

The Centre has access to extensive datasets including biomarkers, clinical and cognitive variables, genotypes, sequencing data, and brain MRI from large population cohorts (e.g., UK Biobank, ABCD) and patient groups. Collaborations extend to national population cohorts (MoBa, HUSK, HUNT, TromsøStudy), Nordic partners for registry and biobank integration, and major international consortia such as the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC) and ENIGMA.
