Research Fellow (Urban Climate)
Job Description
- Set up and operate wind/water tunnel equipment
- Conduct wind tunnel/water experiments
- Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Analyze experimental and simulation data and summarize key findings and observations
- Collaborate with other team members to design experiments, develop simulation methodologies, data collection and analysis
- Assist in the preparation of research proposals and technical reports
- Lead in writing of journal and conference publications
- Assist in other relevant activities in the research project such as supervision of undergraduate students and management of project administration
Qualifications
- A PhD in Atmospheric Science/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations software
- Strong passion in research and can conduct research independently
- Fluent in English and able to present research to both researchers and the general public
- Strong publication record
- Experience in conducting wind/water tunnel experiments is a plus
- Experience in programming and AI/machine learning is a plus
