RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT FOR A MASTER'S STUDENT

INOV – Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores Inovação (INOV) is opening a call for applications for 1 (one) Research Fellowship for a graduate student enrolled in a Master's degree programme, for the performance of R&D activities aimed at consolidating the fellow's scientific training through the development of research work leading to the award of the respective academic degree.
The fellowship will be integrated into INOV's Communication Department, contributing to institutional communication activities and to the communication of specific R&D projects, such as the "SRN Reference Framework" project, funded by ESA – European Space Agency.
INOV is both the funding entity and the host institution of the research fellow. The funding sources are entirely held by INOV.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Corporate Communication or a related field and be enrolled in a Master's degree programme in Communication Sciences, Media or a directly related field.
Work Plan
Development of research activities in the field of Communication, integrated into the communication of ongoing research, development and innovation project(s), as well as INOV's institutional communication and science, technology and innovation communication activities.
The work will focus specifically on digital communication, social media, website and SEO, as well as editorial and multimedia content for different communication channels.
Applicable Legislation and Regulations
The fellowship will be governed by the provisions of the legislation currently in force concerning the Research Fellowship Holder Statute, approved by Law No. 40/2004 of 18 August, as amended, including the amendments introduced by Decree-Law No. 123/2019 of 28 August, as well as by the INOV Research Fellowship Regulations, approved by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) on 3 January 2020, and by the FCT Research Fellowship Regulations currently in force.

Workplace and Scientific Supervisor
The work will be carried out at INOV, in Lisbon, Portugal, under the scientific supervision of the Communication Manager, Henrique Costa Santos.
Duration of the Fellowship
The fellowship will have a duration of 12 months, with an expected starting date in October 2026, and may be renewed until the end of the project or the available budget allocation, provided that the total duration, including renewals, does not exceed the maximum period of 2 years.
Monthly Maintenance Allowance
The monthly amount of the Research Fellowship is €1,090.98, in accordance with the table of fellowship amounts awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (FCT Fellowship Amounts).
Payment will be made by bank transfer to a bank account held by the research fellow.
Evaluation and Selection Criteria and Procedures
The research fellow will be selected by the evaluation panel, which will rank the candidates based on the analysis of the information and documents submitted with their applications, in accordance with Article 12 of the INOV Research Fellowship Regulations.
The following criteria will be applied:
- Quality of the applicant's CV – 50%
- Experience in similar activities within the context of a European project and/or in the field of science and technology – 30%
- Motivation letter – 20%
Each application will be scored from 0 (minimum) to 20 (maximum) points, taking into account the criteria referred to above.
