or
- Hold an academic degree and be enrolled in a non-degree course integrated into the educational programme of a Higher Education Institution, carried out in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.
Note: For Master's degree holders who are enrolled in non-degree courses, the scholarship may only be awarded to individuals who, upon the celebration of the scholarship contract in question (including all possible renewals), will not exceed a cumulative period of two years in this type of scholarship, whether consecutively or intermittently.
and
Requirement 2:

- Develop computational optics methods applied to wavefront sensing, in particular super-resolution and joint wavefront and amplitude estimation to improve extreme adaptive optics (XAO) performance of the Extremely Large Telescope’s future Planetary Camera and Spectrograph instrument
- Compare via Monte Carlo models viable wavefront control strategies for PCS, integrating the findings from the previous item
- Perform experimental work and data analysis from scaled-down PCS XAO prototypes
