"Research Lab Tech Senior/Intermediate"

Responsibilities

• Conducting experiments, including work with infections in cultured cells and in laboratory mice
• Make recommendations on best technical approaches to investigate a scientific problem
• Assist with lab ordering and administrative aspects
• Assist with safety and regulatory compliance with various agencies related to research specimens
• Participate in laboratory meetings
• Responsible for accurate record keeping
• Interact with collaborators as necessary to provide interpretation of study results
• Communicate and make recommendations to other scientists in the team
• Assist other team members in their projects
• Train personnel in existing laboratory techniques and procedures, explain and demonstrate technology and equipment capabilities, operation limitation and outcomes

Qualifications

Senior:

• A bachelor's degree in a related area of study
• 1+ years of laboratory experience involving laboratory mice

Intermediate:

• High School diploma or associate's degree and 1+ years involving laboratory mice

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
