Research Network Coordinator
The recently funded BBSRC network Helminth Eco-Health Hub UK aims to unite multidisciplinary scientists across disciplines, expertise, and career-stages to drive innovative and impactful research in helminth parasitology. The Network will: (i) advance scientific knowledge to address global helminth disease and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; (ii) train next-generation researchers; (iii) enhance researcher mobility; (iv) engage stakeholders, and (v) influence policy. The Research Network Coordinator will lead the delivery of Network-funded projects and support the strategic development of the Helminth Eco-Health Hub. Working with internal and external partners, the role will coordinate research activities, communications, and operations to advance a diverse portfolio of helminth research initiatives. The Research Network Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing Network-funded research projects, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring effective delivery of the Helminth Eco-Health Hub's objectives. Key duties include overseeing research administration and operations, facilitating collaboration across partner institutions, managing communications through digital and media platforms, and promoting the Hub's diverse portfolio of helminth research initiatives.

About the person:
Applicants should:
- Hold a BSc in Biological Sciences, Zoology, or a related life science discipline.
- Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in helminth parasitology, with relevant research experience in this field.
In addition:
- The successful candidate will have proven ability to manage projects, resources, collaborations, data, budgets, and deadlines, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- They should demonstrate broad and in-depth knowledge of helminth parasitology and related research methods, alongside excellent communication and presentation skills, evidenced through research dissemination and conference participation.
- They should be able to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and build productive partnerships.
- The role also requires flexibility to work occasional irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, and a willingness to travel to national meetings and partner organisations.
