Research Project Manager A (Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine)
We are seeking a talented individual to join the lab of Professor Sara Cherry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. The Project Manager A will provide essential support to the PI to manage projects and provide support to the lab overall. The individual will also help the PI to developing grant proposals and applications to advance the laboratory's pursuit of external funding for research projects. Proposals are focused on the study of virology and infectious diseases, with a focus on viruses with pandemic potential including SARS-CoV-2. The individual will support the PI from the time of project inception through research protocol and proposal development and submission, and the dissemination and reporting of findings to funding agencies and publications. The individual will also provide some administrative support required for the future success of the lab.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- In addition to a sound, practical understanding of genetic, biochemical, and/or molecular biology approaches the optimal candidate would also display an eagerness to work as part of a team and to provide both intellectual and technical input to their own projects. Highly motivated individuals who can both work independently as well as in a group are invited to apply.
