The Ramadi Lab for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Full time Research Scholar to work with Professor Ramadi.

The Ramadi Lab develops minimally invasive, engineering-driven technologies to modulate neural activity across the body, combining electrical, mechanical, materials, and bioengineering approaches. The translational work focuses on creating novel diagnostics and therapies for neurologic, metabolic, and immune disorders.
Responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for supporting and leading in vivo studies, including designing experiments, assisting with animal procedures, and overseeing data collection and analysis. This includes contributing to animal handling and experimental workflows, as well as assisting with Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocol preparation, documentation, and compliance.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $48,000 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is: 2026-06-18. This position is expected to be for 12 months.
Candidates should have at least a BS in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, biology, neuroscience, physiology, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in biomedical, bioengineering, neuroscience, physiology, or related life sciences research as exemplified by a strong publication record. Previous experience on animal handling and in vivo experimentation is desired.
