About the FSTM

The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.
Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

The Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM) is part of the FSTM and coordinates all teaching programmes in the life sciences, medicine, nursing and midwifery. Research at the department integrates basic and translational, molecular and computational approaches with a focus on cancer biology, as well as clinical research projects in human health and disease. The DLSM cooperates with the national health care centres and with leading international biomedical research institutions. The University of Luxembourg has set a strategic focus on medicine and health and is actively developing the training and research areas in these domains, creating exceptional opportunities in medical and biomedical initiatives.

Research:

The candidate will be responsible for developing his/her own research program and contribute to the Nursing Education Research Programs (NERP) in collaboration with internal partners on Belval Campus (Faculties and Interdisciplinary Centres) and with external national and international partners.

Coordination:

The candidate will support the coordination of one of the Bachelors of specialisation by contributing to establish the teaching staff, the course schedules, the teaching programme in close contact with the Director of Studies, the study program administrators and the project officers.
