Research Scientist in PET/CT
Job Summary: You will play a key role in co-leading the research activities of the project and contribute significantly to the supervision of several bachelor and master students. Your work is expected to lead to conference presentations, peer-reviewed journal articles, open-source software, international patent applications, and eventually in clinical products.
Responsibilities: Co-lead research activities, supervise bachelor and master students, produce outputs such as presentations, articles, software, patents, and clinical products.
Qualifications and Requirements: A PhD degree (or close to receiving) in Physics, Medical Physics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computational Engineering. Excellent communication skills in English, passion for using AI, and an innovative mindset are essential. Candidates without a PhD who wish to pursue one are also invited.
What the Employer Offers: A full-time contract (36 hours per week) for five years starting on April 1, 2026. Salary between €3,598 and €5,669 gross per month (scale 10), plus 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. The position complies with the Collective Labour Agreement for Medical Centres (CAO-UMC). A preventive Hepatitis B vaccination is available if required.
