Research Scientist - Microbiology, Immunology, and Cell Biology

The Microbiology, Immunology, and Cell Biology Department at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Research Scientist.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Microbiology, Microbial pathogenesis Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a strong background in monoclonal antibody research

    • Experience in laboratory management and mentoring of students.
    • Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven track record of publications in reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Ability to independently design and execute experiments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques related to immunology and microbiology, specifically monoclonal antibody research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive research and learning environment.
  • Highly organized and with good record keeping skills.
