Job Description Summary
The Research Specialist is expected to perform experiments to investigate chromatin function and its dysregulation in cancer and kidney development. This position would require assistance with mouse colony management, tissue harvesting, various web lab/molecular biology assays, and general lab maintenance tasks under the supervision of the PI. Opportunities for the Research Specialist to contribute and obtain authorship on manuscripts will be available.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings)
- Help in the general running of the lab, including: ordering, receiving items, and maintaining lab organization
- Assist PI and other lab members with ongoing research projects.
- Manage mouse colony, including breeding, genotyping, and tissue harvesting.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Position is contingent upon grant support.
