Research Specialist A
Job Description Summary
The candidate will be required to perform research experiments using biochemistry, molecular biology and tissues culture techniques. The candidate will also conduct in vivo experiments, perform minor surgical procedures on animals, and harvest tissues for various assays. Other necessary skills include the ability to document results, process and report data, order lab supplies and manage overall lab operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities
- Place orders, manage lab inventory
- Perform tissue culture, maintain cell lines
- Perform surgical procedures on animals including necropsies
- Under mentorship of the PI, plan and conduct experiments. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of experimental design, results and interpretation.
- Oversee animal genotyping and mouse husbandry
- Perform basic flow cytometry experiments
- Perform routine lab procedures- Elisa, PCR, Western blotting
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
