Perform experiments using a variety of techniques. The position requires assisting the principal investigator with wet-up of new laboratory space, including ordering, set-up and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and assistance with transfer of laboratory protocols, laboratory website, and other new lab logistics as needed. Position is contingent upon grant funding.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting molecular cloning, cell culture, and genome editing and genome regulation experiments in immortalized cells and primary cells.
- Conducting in vitro experiments including flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA. Preference given to candidates with prior familiarity with these tools.
- Performing in vivo experiments in mouse models, including handling, injections, surgeries, and behavioral or physiological assessments, with preference given to candidates with prior animal research experience.
- Maintaining laboratory stocks, ordering reagents, and ensuring compliance with institutional biosafety and animal care protocols.
- Assisting in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Position is contingent upon continued funding.
