Support research projects through lab work, data analysis, and admin tasks in a collaborative and science-focused environment.

This role offers a mix of lab work, data analysis, and admin support, with opportunities to grow your skills in a dynamic research environment.

Some tasks of the role include:

• Supporting research milestones and experiments
• Isolating proteins, metabolites, DNA/RNA from samples
• Analysing Next Generation Sequencing data
• Working in PC2 lab facilities and the Biotron
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Assisting with project-related admin tasks

This is a fixed term role ending August 2027 working 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) at our Lincoln Campus. Salary is fixed at $70,500 per annum.

Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role

You will have:

• A relevant qualification or experience in plant/agricultural science
• Experience with lab techniques and sequencing data analysis
• Familiarity with tools like CLC Genomics Workbench and Cytoscape
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to follow protocols and work collaboratively
• A full NZ driver's licence for travel to research sites
• Alignment with Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
