Details of the Call:
The tasks associated with this action are scheduled to end on 31 October 2027, and the contract is linked to the duration of those tasks.
Tasks to be carried out:
- Collaboration on the technical support and systems administration tasks required for the group’s activities under the direction of the principal investigator (PI), in particular:
- Collaboration on the administration and maintenance of the group’s server infrastructure: users, permissions, storage, backups, monitoring and incident resolution.
- Collaboration on the operation and configuration of the computing environment—including queues and partitions, resource policies and job management—and support for running experiments in Slurm, especially those involving large language models.
- Collaboration on the deployment, updating and maintenance of software and execution environments for research—including dependencies, containers and reproducible environments—as well as on documenting technical procedures for use of the infrastructure.
JUSTIFICATION OF THE CONTRACT DURATION:
The tasks indicated must be completed during the 2026 and 2027 financial years, in accordance with the project application memorandum.

Eligibility criteria
Merit evaluation criteria:
- Undergraduate academic record: up to 10 points.
- Certified English proficiency: up to 3 points. Only the highest officially certified level will be assessed, according to the following scale: A1: 0.10 points; A2: 0.25 points; B1: 0.75 points; B2: 1.25 points; C1: 2 points; C2: 3 points.
- Personal interview: up to 3 points. The technical suitability of the profile for the tasks described in the call will be assessed. The interview score will be used exclusively to select the person to be hired and will not count towards the reserve list.
- Professional or research experience, or experience gained through internships or research fellowships, duly documented, in tasks directly related to the purpose of the contract: administration and maintenance of Linux servers and systems; use of Slurm/HPC infrastructure; and deployment and maintenance of containers and reproducible environments. Applicants will receive 0.50 points for each month of experience, with proportional adjustment for part-time work, up to a maximum of 5 points.
Overlapping periods may not be counted more than once.
Applicants who are not selected and obtain more than 10 points from the sum of the documentary merits—academic record, English proficiency and relevant experience—will be placed on a reserve list ranked according to the score obtained in those sections. The personal interview score will not count for inclusion in or ranking of the reserve list.
