Research Technician 4

The Ohio State University, College of Engineering is seeking a Research Technician 4 that oversees processing of research data, and the associated verification and validation process. They will also mentor new and existing research lab staff in computational and data-driven experiments. They will be involved in providing daily oversight and overseeing the research project toward successful implementation. They will act as a key point of contact for the projects as well. The role will require advanced knowledge of data-driven and modeling processes and will be able to review the work produced. They will need to have the capability to address arising issues in the course of the project.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, or a closely related field required; 5 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience required with associates degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with bachelors degree; is required. Proficient in multitasking problem-solving and critical thinking. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with data analytics and processing and analyzing datasets is preferred.
