Research Technician
The Department of Entomology is seeking a term Research Technician for a full-time position (approximately 40 hours/week). This is a one-year position, renewable contingent upon satisfactory performance for up to 3 years. This role involves performing laboratory experiments involving Drosophila, and bed bugs, collecting and analyzing data including preparation of graphs and reports for research presentations, publications and grant proposals in support of project goals. The individual will participate in the development of new processes, implementing the objectives of research studies by applying concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform their duties. They will participate in the training of mentees, including graduate and undergraduate students and visiting scholars.
The position reports to Dr. Seun Oladipupo, Assistant Professor of Urban Entomology in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and is based in the Howlett Hall on The Ohio State University Columbus campus.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience required with associate's degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with bachelor's degree.
Desired Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
