Research Technician III, Department of Immunobiology
Position Highlights
The Department of Immunobiology is seeking a Research Technician III to independently conduct and support complex laboratory research. They will be responsible for analyzing data and record keeping, and operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, instruments, and apparatuses. The candidate will work on a mouse model to study the role of gut microbiota in autoimmune lung and arthritic disease and work with the principal investigator, as well as working closely with other collaborators.
The Department of Immunobiology at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine is growing into a nationally and internationally recognized research and educational center. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform independent, moderately complex lab experiments with minimal supervision to study host-pathogen interactions in the context of HPV.
- Collect and analyze data, and document the results of experiments. Record information and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures.
- Use data to prepare reports in a clear and efficient manner for use in grant submissions and publications.
- Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and lab equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in relevant field. Experience with the cGAS/STING pathway.
