Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Performs pre-clinical imaging research in collaboration with investigators throughout the IU School of Medicine and associates (IU, IU Indianapolis (IUI), Purdue, and/or industry partners).
• Operates, calibrates, and sets up equipment used to acquire physiologic data.
• Performs experimental procedures with lab animals, gains vascular access and performs injections.
• Provides summary analysis for investigators.
• Provides coordination of study logistics associated with animal transportation, study scheduling, and training of colleagues and investigators.
• Assists with inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies and cleaning of laboratory.

General Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of complex experiments and reports results.
• Keeps organized analytical data of performed experiments.
• Provides support for equipment maintenance as needed.
• Acts as a liaison to students and laboratory personnel for training.
• Maintains laboratory supply requisition and management.
• May train junior-level staff.
• May help plan experiments or short-term goals.
