Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Performs pre-clinical imaging research in collaboration with investigators throughout the IU School of Medicine and associates (IU, IU Indianapolis (IUI), Purdue, and/or industry partners).
- Operates, calibrates, and sets up equipment used to acquire physiologic data.
- Performs experimental procedures with lab animals, gains vascular access and performs injections.
- Provides summary analysis for investigators.
- Provides coordination of study logistics associated with animal transportation, study scheduling, and training of colleagues and investigators.
- Assists with inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies and cleaning of laboratory.
General Responsibilities
- Performs a wide variety of complex experiments and reports results.
- Keeps organized analytical data of performed experiments.
- Provides support for equipment maintenance as needed.
- Acts as a liaison to students and laboratory personnel for training.
- Maintains laboratory supply requisition and management.
- May train junior-level staff.
- May help plan experiments or short-term goals.
