Essential Job Duties:
The Research Technician supports laboratory operations by conducting experiments, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and recording data accurately. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols and quality standards while assisting researchers or scientists in achieving project objectives. Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
- Prepare and process samples, reagents, and laboratory materials.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments based on instructions from Principal Investigator
- Record, analyze, and report data accurately
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment as directed
- Follow established safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Due to the nature of the work, the Research Technician is expected to work on campus full-time.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience/Education:
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications:
Some familiarity with molecular biology lab and basic administrative tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with molecular biology laboratory environments and basic laboratory techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately record, organize, and report data.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks while following established procedures and supporting basic administrative activities.
