College/Department Information
The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine is charged with conducting high-impact original biomedical research and translating the findings to clinical applications, and in educating future physicians and researchers. Our research addresses fundamental questions in basic and translational neuroscience, particularly in neuronal degeneration and regeneration.

Job Summary
Responsibilities include carrying out behavioral tests, performing immunohistochemistry, PCR, real time PCR, western blotting, tissue culture, brain surgeries, behavioral testing, and microscopic analysis; maintaining detailed records; coordinating and participating in research of scientific literature; summarizing and evaluating findings; and general lab management.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, visual acuity, and fine motor control.
Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality; able to write legibly, work safely around biological materials, wash glassware, handle sharps, remember storage locations, monitor lab inventory, and maintain a set schedule. Research involves animal models, so sensitivity to smells is required.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required). Pay Band: B4. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retirement options, vacation time, sick leave, paid holidays, and potential tuition assistance.
