Offer Description
The INCLIVA Foundation is a Health Research Institute accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute and as such an Agent of the National Science and Technology System.
Although, it is part of the public sector of the Generalitat Valenciana, has legal personality of a private nature, and is governed by the private legal system and its specific legislation, without prejudice to the rules of public law that are applicable to it.
To this end, a selection process is hereby announced for the recruitment of a Research Technician (T3), Level 1, 17T (Senior Technician), to carry out the technology transfer project entitled “Quantitative Proteomics by Mass Spectrometry for the Early Identification of Predictive Biomarkers of Adverse Events in Acute Coronary Syndrome”. Reference: CIAPOT/2024/019. The position will be carried out under the supervision of Dr José Luis García.
Job responsibilities:
The successful candidate will actively participate in the analysis of circulating histones and APC protein, with direct application to the clinical management of critically ill patients. Demonstrable experience in molecular biology techniques, including Western blotting, flow cytometry, cell culture, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and LC-MS/MS mass spectrometry, as well as in the analysis of liquid biopsy samples, is required.
Previous experience working with clinical data from hospital-based cohort studies in the context of sepsis, as well as experience in managing clinical databases and processing data from biobanks, will also be considered an asset.
A strong background in the use of software for the processing and analysis of mass spectrometry and HPLC data (SCIEX, Skyline), as well as in statistical analysis, is required. Particular consideration will be given to experience in the analysis and interpretation of epigenetic and proteomic data, as well as in in vitro studies investigating the immunomodulatory effects of circulating histones.

1.- ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS (10–75 points)
1.1 University Master’s Degree (at least 60 ECTS credits or equivalent in hours) related to the research/work position: If held: 10 points

2.1 English language proficiency:

3.- MERITS RELATED TO PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS RELEVANT TO THE POSITION (0–75 POINTS)
3.1 – Accredited work experience in the field of epigenetic and pathophysiological mechanisms applied to severe infectious diseases (10 points per year of experience, up to a maximum of 40 points. Periods shorter than one year will be prorated by complete months).
3.2 – Accredited work experience with organoids. Minimum 1 year: 5 points if this requirement is met.
3.3 – Conference presentations/communications at national and international conferences: 0.5 points per national conference contribution and 1 point per international conference contribution, up to a maximum of 5 points.
3.4 – Scientific publications related to the field (5 points per publication, up to a maximum of 20 points).
3.5 – Accredited training in statistics (1 point per course, up to a maximum of 5 points).
PHASE 2: POSITION-SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT

Specific Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a field within the Sciences, in accordance with the current study programmes (MECES Level 2, EQF Level 6).
- To possess the physical and mental capacities and aptitudes necessary for the performance of the corresponding duties or tasks, which shall be certified by the applicant through a sworn statement/declaration of responsibility at the time of application submission.
- To hold Spanish nationality, a valid work permit, or another nationality that allows access to employment in the public sector. If the selected candidate does not hold such authorization at the time of selection, the contract shall not be formalized until the relevant documentation is in order. Should the candidate ultimately fail to complete this process within the period established by the Evaluation Committee, they may not be hired; in such case, the position may remain vacant or be offered to the next-ranked candidate, if a ranking order has been established in the Resolution.
- To be at least 16 years of age and not exceed, where applicable, the mandatory retirement age or any other age limit established by law.
- Not to be subject to any incompatibility that prevents the performance of duties under the general regime with an entity belonging to the public sector. Compliance with this requirement shall be accredited through a sworn statement/declaration of responsibility included in the application.
- Not to have been disqualified by final judgment from performing duties similar to those corresponding to the professional category or group being applied for. In the case of nationals of other states, not to be disqualified or in an equivalent situation in their own state that would prevent access to public employment. - In the event of having previously provided services to the INCLIVA Foundation, not to have been subject to a disciplinary dismissal deemed justified by the Foundation.
- In the event of having previously provided services to the INCLIVA Foundation in the position being offered, to have successfully completed the corresponding probationary period.
