"Research Technician"

Brandeis University is looking to hire a Research Technician in the Biology lab. The Research Technician will contribute to lab organization, including scheduling lab meetings, sending out packages, training and supervising undergraduate media technicians. Perform, analyze, interpret, and record experiments using yeast genetics, advanced cellular imaging by light microscopy, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Job Description:

• Contribute to lab organization, including scheduling meetings, organizing lab databases and lab clean ups.
• Train and supervise undergraduate media technicians.
• Perform, analyze, and interpret experiments using yeast genetics, advanced cell microscopy and image analysis, molecular biology and biochemistry.

The hiring range for the position is $39.6k-$48k.

This is a one year position with a possibility of extension

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biology or biochemistry strongly preferred.
• Requires previous work experience in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to be on one’s feet at the lab bench and around the lab for multiple hours each day.
