Job Title: Researcher 3
Department: Pharmacy | Office of the Dean
The Researcher 3 will perform studies of variation in drug response and toxicity. These include studies of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in iPSC-induced sensory neurons, genetic association studies of adverse drug phenotypes, and studies of membrane transporter function and expression. The position is expected to have a significant degree of independence and will work with the PI and collaborators to determine the direction of studies in the laboratory. They will also be responsible for training new laboratory members and for regulatory compliance.
Required Education/Experience: A PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or Neuroscience is required. 5 years of relevant experience is required. At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in using iPSC-derived models for study of drug action and toxicity.
Desired Experience: Experience with genetic analysis of genome-wide SNP, exome sequencing and transcriptomics data is highly desired.
Additional Information: The pay range for this job profile is $75,700 - $98,900. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
