within a national network comprising local authorities responsible for waste management on the one hand, and ‘philosophy centres and associations’ on the other, the project aims to support local authorities in developing more appropriate local policies, promoting more efficient, participatory and socially equitable waste management.
Planning research project
The Rudo-Pass project, funded by the ANR SAPS, begins on 1 October 2026 and ends on 31 March 2030. The research work of the postdoctoral researcher recruited for this post will form part of the main phase of the project, running from 12 October 2026 to 11 April 2029.
Assigned activities and expected results
The postdoctoral researcher recruited will be responsible for carrying out tasks 2 and 3 of this project:
- T2: Develop and test the ‘rudo-philo’ programme: design and implement spaces for collective discussion based on the results of task 1; formalise the methodology of the ‘rudo-philo’ programme drawing on previous findings and initial field results; co-develop, with partner local authorities, workshop formats tailored to local contexts (content, materials, facilitation methods); conduct pilot workshops with residents in the partner areas; capitalise on the data generated during the workshops (discussions, controversies, reformulations, accounts of experiences).
- T3: Co-produce and disseminate methodological tools for public policy: transform scientific and experimental findings into tools that can be utilised by decision-makers; develop a methodological framework for adapting policies to specific local contexts; Produce operational tools (guides, analysis grids, recommendations) incorporating the challenges of environmental and social inequalities; organise feedback sessions and discussions with local authorities and civil society partners; Disseminate the results (scientific publications, professional deliverables, seminars).
