Offer Description
The research will focus on developing new methods, models, architectures, and tools for monitoring, forecasting, and managing distributed energy resources powered by renewable sources, building on the results achieved within Spoke 5, “Light Vehicles and Active Mobility,” of the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST), with emphasis on their integration into electrical systems for light and sustainable electric mobility. The goal is to develop new solutions for the smart management of charging infrastructures for light electric vehicles that are connected, powered by renewable sources and energy storage systems, in off-grid, grid-connected, or hybrid configurations, including the development of data-driven methods for forecasting electrical load, charging profiles, and renewable energy production - with related diagnostics - and promoting increased local self-consumption and the integration of smart charging and Vehicle-to-Grid strategies. Required expertise includes: electrical power systems, on-grid and off-grid charging infrastructures, with a focus on light electric vehicles, machine learning and artificial intelligence, SCADA data analysis, diagnostics and monitoring of renewable energy systems, electrical measurements, and experimental validation.
Teaching activity, ranging from 60 to 120 hours, and supplementary activities will be related to courses in the IIND-08/B scientific discipline area -Electrical Energy Systems.
