Background of the recruitment and description of the project
We are seeking researchers to work on foundational technologies for emerging language generation models, including diffusion language models and flow-based models, under the NEDO project “Foundation for Real-world Omni-Native Trustworthy Intelligence and Alignment.” Successful candidates will work exclusively on this NEDO project.
Please note that successful applicants for this position will be required to work exclusively on the NEDO project.
Work content and job description
Research will focus on pretraining, distillation, acceleration, and improvement of large-scale diffusion and flow-based language models. Topics may include multi-GPU training, distillation from LLMs, inference acceleration, synthetic data generation, external knowledge integration, multimodal modeling, and architectural improvements. We aim to develop methods applicable to large-scale models and produce research suitable for top-tier conferences.

- Hourly wage: 2500 yen - 2700 yen
- Wages description: Decided based on AIST's policy

- Overtime and other explanations: Flexible working hours are available. Telework is generally permitted for up to half of the working days in a month. Details are negotiable.
