Background of the recruitment and description of the project
You will engage in advanced research and development on optical fiber communication systems. In particular, you will work in fields such as digital coherent optical transmission, DSP for optical transmitters and receivers, optical network design and control, optical device and optical node design, coherent optical measurement, and optical fiber sensing. Your responsibilities will include constructing experimental systems, numerical simulations, signal processing analysis, performance evaluation, paper writing, international conference presentations, and the promotion of collaborative research and research projects. The specific research topic will be determined based on the successful candidate's expertise and the research plans of the laboratory.

Work content and job description
You will be responsible for research planning, construction of experimental systems, numerical simulations, signal processing analysis, experimental data analysis, paper writing, and presentations at international conferences. You will also participate in research discussions with students in the laboratory, the promotion of collaborative research and research projects, and the creation of research outcomes based on external funding.

Annual salary: 6 million yen
Wages description: Base salary: JPY 500,000–550,000 per month
Bonus: A bonus will be paid depending on work performance, research achievements, budget availability, and other relevant factors. The annual bonus amount will be determined up to a maximum of JPY 500,000.

Holidays: 3 Saturdays/month, Sundays, Summer and Winter vacation as determined by TTI
