Retail Lead at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains high customer service standards set by DFCI. Greet and acknowledge customers within an acceptable period of time, ensuring that the customer is welcomed as s/he enters the store.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all product features and available services. Lead Sales Associate develops reputation for exceeding customer service expectations, which contributes to sales growth.
- Maximizes potential sales. Demonstrates professional selling skills. Suggests related items with every purchase. Maximizing sales is a key factor in reaching profitability targets.
- Ensure proper procedures for opening and closing of store ensure proper staffing levels of area.
- Performs assigned stocking and inventory tasks. Takes inventory counts as needed and enters in stock control system. Restocks floor displays. Monitor merchandise levels through inventory management to ensure product availability to customer.
- Assists with execution of visual merchandise plans. Cleans and freshens displays as necessary. Assists with receiving and price marking of shipments. Assures store is attractive and appealing to customers.
- Monitor the store's Sales forecast business and update management on a regular basis.
- Maintains the E-commerce site, including entering pertinent product information into our database, update existing product information, and write informative, captivating and fun product descriptions.
- Performs monthly Accounts Payables reconciliation for Friends Place and Friends Corner Gift Shop.
- Functions as a content expert/resource leader in quality improvement/process improvement initiatives and projects.
- Ensures quality care and adherence to standard operating procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. 2 years of retail experience preferred and experience with cancer patients and rehabilitation process preferred.
- Retail knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, product research.
- Must have strong human relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Might be highly organized, efficient and have the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability with Word and Excel software, as well as point of sale systems helpful.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in developing merchandise plans for retail stores and managing inventory levels through allocation and replenishment a plus.
