Offer Description
This scientific-disciplinary field develops interpretive models, assessment measures, and intervention strategies—along with associated approaches for teaching, training, and scientific dissemination—concerning the various levels of psychic functioning (individuals, families, groups, communities, and society), whether adaptive or maladaptive. It focuses on the following dimensions: a) the subjective significance of experience; b) unconscious dimensions of the mind and their connections to implicit and conscious processes; c) the dynamic nature of the mind (including phantasmatic, motivational, and intentional components, as well as self-actualization); d) the role of primary interactions, the environment, and relational experiences in the development of psychic functioning; e) the central role of affects and intersubjective dynamics in the formation and development of personality (encompassing attachment, psychological health/distress/psychopathology, and adaptive potential); and f) the construction of gender identities. Methodological competencies relevant to these areas are also explored in depth
