Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: This position provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. This position performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients in Critical Care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient in the unit. This position is overseen by the Charge Nurse and reports to the Manager of ICU and CNO.

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit.
- Knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions.
- Must speak, read and write English.
- Demonstrates good communication skills.
- Can work in a team based environment.
- Current CA RN license, CPR and ACLS. BSN or higher in Nursing for all external candidates.
- Prefer six months experience in an acute care hospital.
- HospitalMandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/Neglect, and Ethics. Tuberculosis Screening, Licensure renewal, ACLS, BLS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
