RN Staff Nurse I - Allergy & Immunology
Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Allergy and Immunology, this dedicated professional efficiently manages daily clinic operations while directly contributing to patient care. Key responsibilities include overseeing smooth clinic workflows, administering various injections such as allergy immunotherapy, biologics and vaccines, mixing and preparing our allergy/venom immunotherapy, and preparing and applying patch testing. They are responsible for preparation of our injection clinics, and ensuring adequate supplies to support efficient clinic functioning.
This Staff Nurse will report to our Highlands location off of Hampton (near the St Louis Zoo) ⢠1110 Highlands Plaza Dr. Suite 300, St. Louis, MO 63110
Working Hours: 40+ hrs, Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM (assigned days during the week to close the clinic)
Work-Life Balance: No weekends, holidays, nights, or on-call duties
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care.
- Provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice.
- Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/families regarding disease process and symptom management.
- Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
- Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Maintains required skills and competencies and participates in educational programs, staff meetings and in services such as CPR as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree - Nursing
Certifications: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with Compact Act. Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
