Applications are invited from interested candidates for the temporary Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post in a SERB-sponsored project with the sanction number EEQ/2023/000421, dated 03-01-2024. The project is undertaken by the Department of Instrumentation Engineering, Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam.

Title of the Project: Design and Fabrication of Photovoltaic/Thermal Hybrid Solar Tunnel Dryer for Value Addition to Underutilized Agro Produce of NER-India

Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB-EEQ), Government of India

Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Rajesh Kondareddy, Assistant Professor Department of Instrumentation Engineering, CIT Kokrajhar.

Duration: The initial appointment will be given for one year and is extendable based on performance till the project completion.

Age limit: As per SERB-DST norms (relaxation as per GoI)

Essential Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MS/M.Sc (Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation /Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Food Engineering & Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering/ Renewable Energy engineering / Energy Technology or any other allied areas) from a recognized Institute/University with a first division or equivalent and GATE/NET qualified. Desirable: Good knowledge in project design and implementation.

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month (Revised salary of Rs. 37,000/-subjected to the sanction of fund from SERB-DST)

Last date of receiving application form extended till: This is a rolling advertisement. There is no last date. However, applications will be considered periodically as per their suitability and requirement. The details regarding the interview process, date, time and venue will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates over email.

Institute right: The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found. CITK does not bear any implications/obligations on the recruited JRF / SRF in a given project. Selected candidates will not be permitted to claim for any regular / part time appointments in this institute or any other during this period.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.

The candidates are supposed to join immediately if selected. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory. Upon prior request, the interview may be conducted in online mode.
