Carnegie Mellon University has a work-at-home Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer position within the University Advancement Department, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new software platforms and system enhancements for the marketing team and related partners. Specific duties include: leading software requirement and development efforts; managing the software development and technical enhancement of the SFMC platform; performing SQL-based query development, data management, and optimization; building custom platform reporting and data exports; creating dynamic and complex software scripting solutions; conducting software testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance; maintaining technical knowledge of the SFMC platform and advising the department; and supporting technical software integrations with other Salesforce platforms.

This is a fully remote position, allowing the employee to work from anywhere in the United States.

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Network and Communications Management, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in Marketing Automation Administration.

Experience must include three (3) years with: hands-on design, prototyping, development, configuration, and testing; SQL mastery; implementing automated solutions using Marketing Cloud Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS); building websites using SFMC CloudPages; web service integration (REST/SOAP); managing system updates through version control software like Git; and documenting and reporting status of technical builds.

Must also have knowledge of: Salesforce CRM platform and Marketing Cloud Connect, including the contact data model; translating technical solutions into functional web or SFMC components; and developing dynamic email templates.
