Scheduling Representative, Patient Relations & Financial Services
Scheduling Representatives are responsible for providing superior patient-focused experiences in scheduling appointments, resolving patient needs or concerns, and creating/updating patient accounts.
Our ideal candidate will assist Penn Dental Family Medicine's clinical departments in providing patient-focused experiences supporting the delivery of high-quality care.
PATIENT EXPERIENCE:
- Professionally greet & assist patients in scheduling appointments.
- Consistently demonstrate concern and courtesy for colleagues and patients, following up with individuals to ensure satisfaction with the level of service expected.
PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately gather new patient demographics, insurance and/or financial information to establish/update patient's account. Verify patient insurance as pre-appointment activity.
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns and/or provide support in connecting patients to department or party who can provide resolution.
- Review appointment book in support of maintaining productive & efficient patient flow.
- Dedication to learning and professional development.
- Other duties as assigned. Provide and maintain expertise in innovative solutions focused on the responsible stewardship of Penn Dental Medicine and its community experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience with windows based software required. Axium dental software experience preferred.
- One to Two years' experience in professional office setting required. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
