- Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)

We are seeking a motivated, energetic and organised Scholarship and Prizes Officer to play a key role in the delivery and administration of UQ’s scholarships and prizes. In this role, you will support the processing, reporting and ongoing management of financial awards.
You’ll also provide high-quality advice and information to a range of stakeholders, on matters relating to eligibility, application, selection, compliance and payment processes. Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide high-level administrative support across all stages of UQ’s scholarships and prizes, including application, assessment, selection, awarding, and ongoing eligibility monitoring.
- Draft scholarship rules and guidelines, manage Senate-approved financial awards, and support research program scholarship processes.
- Deliver clear, accurate advice and information to a range of stakeholders on scholarships, prizes, bursaries, and student fees.
- Generate specialist reports, manage enquiries, maintain systems (e.g. SI-net), support Schools, and monitor sector trends to enhance scholarship offerings.

About You
- Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience or experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/ training.
- High level skills in interpreting and applying rules, policies, and procedures in complex situations.
- High-level organisational, planning, record-keeping, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload, as well as the ability to show initiative and use problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior staff, students, school representatives as well as external organisations.
- High level of computer proficiency with software packages and enterprise systems.
- High level accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in student administration in a higher education institution or similar environment is desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and criminal check.
