School of Education, Clinical Assistant Professor in School Psychology (One-Year), Non-Tenure Track
Position Details
The School of Education (SOE) at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a 1-year renewable non-tenure track full-time faculty position in the School Psychology program. The selected individual will join faculty in the SOE’s undergraduate and graduate programs, all of which are shaped around the SOE’s conceptual framework of advancing professionalism in the service of social justice.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a 4/4 teaching load (teaching four courses in the fall and three in the spring, on the average) of graduate courses across the EdS, PhD, and EdD programs.
- Share the responsibilities with other full-time faculty in the program to advise and mentor students across programs as assigned to ensure students are supported and complete the program on time.
- Share in the responsibilities with other full-time faculty in the program to serve as a Capstone Director and committee member for students in the EdD program.
- Engage in service to the school psychology program and the SOE including, but not limited to, shared governance committee work as well as attend monthly SOE-wide meetings.
- Attend and support facilitation of the annual new student orientation, new student open house, and end of year celebration in the school psychology program.
- Collaborate with all program faculty to review and make admissions decisions for the EdS, PhD, and EdD programs.
We seek candidates who will collaborate with colleagues across the program, SOE, and larger university to build an inclusive and welcoming school psychology program that fosters belonging for all students. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in assessment, prevention, intervention, and individual and systems-level consultation and collaboration within a MTSS framework.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in School Psychology or Educational Psychology
- 3+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience teaching at the university level
- Bilingual school psychology expertise and experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse P-12 students
- Licensed psychologist in Illinois and credentialed school psychologist through the state education agency or eligible for licensure reciprocity in Illinois
