Position Details

The School of Education (SOE) at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a 3-year renewable non-tenure track full-time faculty position and Director of Clinical Training in the School Psychology program area.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibility of coordinating and teaching practicum through maintaining and enhancing existing school and clinic partnerships in the community and with site-based clinical supervisors.
Share the responsibilities with other full-time faculty in the program to advise and mentor students across programs as assigned.
Share in the responsibilities with other full-time faculty in the program to serve as a Capstone Director and committee member for students in the EdD program.
Engage in service to the school psychology program and the SOE including shared governance committee work.
Attend and support facilitation of the annual new student orientation, new student open house, and end of year celebration.
Collaborate with all program faculty to review and make admissions decisions for the EdS, PhD, and EdD programs.

We seek candidates who will collaborate with colleagues across the program, SOE, and larger university to build an inclusive and welcoming school psychology program that fosters belonging for all students. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in assessment, prevention, intervention, and individual and systems-level consultation and collaboration within a MTSS framework.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in School Psychology or Educational Psychology
Licensed psychologist in Illinois and credentialed school psychologist through the state education agency or eligible for licensure reciprocity in Illinois
3+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience teaching at the university level
Experience with building systems for supervision and student peer-mentoring
Experience supervising school psychology practicum students and/or interns
