Illinois teaching licensure in early childhood, elementary, secondary, and/or special education.
Supporting our existing partnerships with schools and community
agencies through collaborative on-site work with teachers and
administrators to support field-based teaching and
learning.
Collaboration with T&L chairs and faculty in
ensuring consistency and quality across sections and semesters.
Part-time faculty receive resources and support from faculty leads,
chairs, and program coordinators in order to become familiar with
our program, syllabi, assignments, and systems/technology.
Face-to-face instruction. Note that our teacher
education programs are largely face-to-face or hybrid in format
(and not solely online), so PT faculty would ideally be available
to teach on Loyola’s campus and to visit partner sites where
indicated. Field experiences are directly supervised by faculty,
who typically visit school sites with their class.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned Master’s or Doctorate in appropriate area(s) of
education
- 3+ years of experience as a Preschool-Grade 12 educator in an
area of need listed above
- Current or previous state educator licensure
- Successful prior work in teacher education
Preferred Experiential Qualifications:
- Urban education experiences and in efforts to address social
justice
- Supervision or field-based work with practicum students and/or
interns
