Faculty are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for student clinical and simulation lab experiences. These individuals will provide instruction, supervision, guidance and counsel to nursing students in relation to ADN and BSN program objectives and includes (1) planning student learning experiences; (2) evaluating student progress; (3) recording and reporting as required by the School of Nursing.
Clinical sites include the following in the state of Ohio: Genesis Hospital (Zanesville, Ohio) (most highly used), Muskingum Valley Health Center (Zanesville, Ohio), Ohio Health Southeastern Medical Center (Cambridge, Ohio), Licking Hospital (Newark, Ohio), Fairfield Medical (Lancaster, Ohio), Nationwide Children's (Columbus, Ohio), Community Health sites (Zanesville, Ohio). Other: various other facilities may be used for precepted students.
Seeking experience in: Medical Surgical Nursing, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Community nursing.
Minimum Qualifications
- A nursing degree of BSN or higher is required by the start date of appointment.
- Minimum of two years (24 months full time equivalent) of clinical nursing experience in the United States is required.
- A current unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or the eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
MSN degree preferred.
