School of Translation and Foreign Languages – Associate Professor / Assistant Professor

Responsibilities
- deliver and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate teaching;
- develop and update course materials and, if the need arises, assist in the development of new programmes;
- design assessments and undertake marking and feedback;
- provide academic advising and supervise final year projects;
- contribute to programme operation and quality assurance processes;
- participate in School and University committees and support academic governance;
- engage in scholarly research and publication; and
- take on roles in other areas such as external engagement and student recruitment as appropriate.
Applicants Should
- possess a doctoral degree in translation studies or a related discipline;
- demonstrate a proven record of effective teaching at the tertiary level;
- have a strong research and publication record;
- preferably be specialised in one or more of the following areas: digital humanities, translation technology and artificial intelligence, localisation, or industry and professional practices;
- possess an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
