ANÚNCIO PARA A ATRIBUIÇÃO DE BOLSA DE INVESTIGAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA
Encontra-se aberto concurso para a atribuição de 1 (uma) Bolsa de investigação científica no âmbito do projeto “Collaborative research on a new functionality dedicated to kids refraction available in the Vision-R™ and Vision-S™ new software version, (Essilor III)” nas seguintes condições:
1. Área Científica: Optometria e Ciências da Visão.
2. Requisitos de admissão: Os(As) candidatos(as) à Bolsa de Investigação Científica (BI) deverão preferencialmente satisfazer os seguintes requisitos:
- Mestrado em Optometria Avançada;
- Conhecimentos na área de optometria clínica, visão pediátrica, refração objetiva subjetiva incluindo a utilização de sistemas guiados por algoritmos, revisão da literatura científica, análise de dados, elaboração de comunicações em eventos científicos;
- Razoável domínio da língua inglesa.
(1) Os documentos comprovativos da titularidade de graus académicos e diplomas, ou do respetivo reconhecimento quando tenham sido atribuídos por instituições de ensino superior estrangeiras, podem ser dispensados em fase de candidatura, sendo substituídos por declaração de honra do candidato, ocorrendo a verificação dessa condição apenas em fase de contratualização da bolsa. Esta declaração deverá atestar factos ocorridos em data anterior à candidatura. Nas situações de divergência entre a informação constante da declaração e a documentação entregue para efeitos de contratualização de bolsa, apenas será considerada a informação constante nesta última. Caso se verifique que os documentos comprovativos da titularidade do grau académico e diploma, ou do respetivo reconhecimento nos termos do Decreto-Lei n.º 66/2018, de 16 de agosto, não correspondam às classificações atribuídas na avaliação do percurso académico e possam, consequentemente, alterar a seriação do candidato, não será efetivada a contratualização da bolsa.
(2) À data da respetiva contratação, deverão os candidatos comprovar que estão inscritos (aceites) em curso conferente ou não conferente de grau académico, integrado no projeto educativo de uma instituição do ensino superior, na área ou área afim à solicitada em edital (por ex.: pós-graduações, estudos avançados, formação especializada).
3. Plano de trabalhos: Pretende-se com a seguinte bolsa, a avaliação visual de crianças com recurso a novos métodos de refração ocular, a recolha, organização e análise de dados, preparação de relatórios e a sua eventual apresentação em eventos científicos.
As tarefas a realizar são as seguintes:
- Procedimentos de aprovação ética e aplicação do termo de consentimento;
- Coleta de dados em triagem visual pediátrica;
- Coleta de dados em eletrofisiologia visual;
- Armazenamento, curadoria e análise de dados;
- Redação de resumos para congressos, apresentações e artigos para publicação com revisão por pares.
4. Legislação e regulamentação aplicável: Lei n.º 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica), alterada e republicada pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 202/2012 de 27 de agosto, com as atualizações introduzidas pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 233/2012 de 29 de outubro, Lei n.º 12/2013 de 29 de janeiro, Decreto-lei n.º 89/2013 de 9 de julho e Decreto-Lei n.º 123/2019, de 28 de agosto; Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da FCT, I. P., aprovado pelo Regulamento n.º 234/2012 de 25 de junho de 2012, alterado e republicado pelo Regulamento n.º 326/2013 de 27 de julho de 2013 e alterado pelo Regulamento n.º 339/2015 de 17 de junho de 2015, pelo Regulamento n.º 137-A/2018 de 27 de fevereiro de 2018 e Regulamento n.º 950/2019, de 16 de dezembro. O Regulamento n.º 950/2019, de 16 de dezembro, foi alterado pelo Regulamento n.º 643/2021, de 14 de julho.
5. Local de trabalho: O trabalho será desenvolvido no Laboratório de Investigação em Optometria Clínica e Experimental (CEORLab) do Centro de Física da Universidade do Minho, no centro INHUB, S. Cosme do Vale, Famalicão, sob a orientação científica do Professor Doutor José Manuel González Méijome.
6. Duração da bolsa: A bolsa terá a duração de 3 (três) meses, com início previsto em 1 de outubro de 2026, em regime de exclusividade, conforme regulamento de formação avançada de Recursos Humanos da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). O contrato de bolsa poderá ser eventualmente renovado até ao máximo de 6 meses.
7. Valor do subsídio de manutenção mensal: O montante da bolsa corresponde a € 1.359,64, conforme tabela de valores das bolsas atribuídas diretamente pela FCT, I.P. no País (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf).
8. Métodos de seleção: Os métodos de seleção a utilizar serão os seguintes: avaliação curricular (AC), entrevista (ENT), provas de conhecimento (PC), com a respetiva valoração de AC 40%, ENT 30%, PC (30%)

10. Forma de publicitação/notificação dos resultados: Os resultados finais da avaliação serão publicitados através de ata de seriação, anexa à notificação enviada aos candidatos via e-mail.
11. Prazo de candidatura e forma de apresentação das candidaturas: O concurso encontra-se aberto no período de 11 a 24 de agosto de 2026.
As candidaturas devem ser formalizadas, obrigatoriamente, através do envio dos seguintes documentos: (Curriculum Vitae, certificado de habilitações e outros documentos comprovativos considerados relevantes).
O investigador responsável pelo projeto reserva-se ao direito de não atribuir a Bolsa de Investigação Científica em concurso em função do resultado de avaliação das candidaturas e da sua adequação aos objetivos do projeto.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
It is now open a call for applications for a Scientific Research Fellowship in the framework of the project “Collaborative research on a new functionality dedicated to kids refraction available in the Vision-R™ and Vision-S™ new software version, (Essilor III)”, under the following conditions:
1.Scientific field: Optometry and Vision Science.
2. Admission Requirements: The candidates to the scientific research fellowship should preferably fulfil the following requirements:
- Master’s in advanced Optometry;
- Experience in clinical optometry, pediatric vision, objective and subjective refraction (including the use of algorithm-guided systems), scientific literature review, data analysis, and preparation of presentations for scientific events;
- Good domain of the English language.
(1) Documents proving the ownership of academic degrees and diplomas, or their respective recognition when they have been awarded by foreign higher education institutions, may be waived at the application stage, being replaced by a declaration of honor by the candidate, with verification of such condition only in the stage of contracting the fellowship. This statement must attest facts that occurred on a date prior to the application. In situations of divergence between the information contained in the declaration and the documentation submitted for the purpose of contracting a grant, only the information contained in the latter will be considered. If it is verified that the documents proving the ownership of the academic degree and diploma, or the respective recognition under the terms of Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16, do not correspond to the classifications awarded in the evaluation of the academic path and may, consequently, changing the candidate's ranking, the fellowship contracting will not be effected.
(2) On the date of the respective hiring, candidates must prove that they are enrolled in a course conferring or not conferring an academic degree, integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, in the area or area related to that requested in the notice (e.g. : postgraduate studies, advanced studies, specialized training).
3. Work Plan: The present fellowship aims to assess children's vision using new ocular refraction methods, as well as to collect, organize, and analyze data, prepare reports, and potentially present the results at scientific events.
The tasks to be performed are as follows:
- Procedures for obtaining ethical approval and administering informed consent forms;
- Data collection during pediatric vision screening;
- Data collection in visual electrophysiology;
- Data storage, curation, and analysis;
- Preparation of conference abstracts, presentations, and peer-reviewed articles.
4. Applicable legislation and regulation: Law No. 40/2004, of 18 August (Statute of Scientific Research Fellows), amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 202/2012 of 27 August, with the updates introduced by Decree-Law No. 233/2012 of October 29, Law No. 12/2013 of January 29, Decree-Law No. 89/2013 of July 9 and Decree-Law No. 123/2019, of August 28; Regulation of Research Grants of FCT, IP, approved by Regulation No. 234/2012 of June 25, 2012, amended and republished by Regulation No. 326/2013 of July 27, 2013 and amended by Regulation No. 339/2015 of 17th of June 2015, by Regulation No. 137-A/2018 of February 27, 2018 and Regulation No. 950/2019, of December 16, 2019. Regulation 950/2019 of 16 December was amended by Regulation 643/2021 of 14 July.
5. Workplace and Scientific Orientation: The activities will be developed at the Laboratório de Investigação em Optometria Clínica e Experimental (CEORLab) do Centro de Física da Universidade do Minho, no centro INHUB, S. Cosme do Vale, Famalicão, University of Minho, under the scientific supervision of Professor José Manuel González Méijome.
6. Duration of the Fellowship: The fellowship will last for 3 (three) months, starting in 1st October 2026, on an exclusive basis, according to the regulation of advanced training in Human Resources of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). The contract can be renewable up to a limit of 6 months.
7. Value of the Monthly Maintenance Subsidy: The fellowship amount corresponds to 1.359,64€, according to the table of scholarship values of the FCT, I.P. in the Country (Annex I – Table of Monthly Maintenance Subsidy of the Regulation for Research Fellowships of the FCT I.P. (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf).
8. Evaluation and selection criteria and procedures: The selection methodology will follow the following criteria: curriculum evaluation (AC), interview (ENT), knowledge tests (PC), with the respective valuation of AC 40%, ENT 30%), PC (30%).

11. Application deadline and form of submission of applications: The call for applications is open from 11, to 24, august of 2026.
Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending the following documents: curriculum vitae, Motivation Letter, Diplomas or certificate of qualifications and other evidence considered relevant.
The researcher responsible for the project reserves the right not to award the Scientific Research Fellowship in competition depending on the result of the evaluation of the applications and its suitability for the project's objectives.
